You just cannot install an air con system in a hassle. You need to be careful enough to make sure it is perfect and is worthy of your investment. Hence, make sure that you do not end up committing the following mistakes that may jeopardise the installation.

Opting for a company that is not experienced

Refrain from hiring companies that are not that experienced when it comes installation of AC systems. They will make a mess of things. See that they are certified and are home to some of the best and the most experienced techies.

Also, do not put money on businesses that do not have the required certification for doing the job.

Installing without the Drip Pans

This is one of the most common mistakes that installers commit. Drip Pans carry out the all-important task of collecting the water that accumulates because of condensation of water vapour.

Naturally, if the pan is missing, the water thus formed does not have any exit route. Usually, it collects inside your home as well as within the device itself, thus causing no good to its health.

Make sure the technician installs a secondary drip van, which is also called the ceiling saving kit to prevent any potential accumulation of water.

Working with a company that is not bonded

Before you put your money on an aircon install company, you need to sign a contract license surety bond to guard yourself against any unfair dealing. This will also give you a financial safeguard in case of any breach of contract by the service provider.

Installing too long refrigerant pipes

This is another mistake that installers commit and the owners let them happen. It is the pipe that connects the indoor and the outdoor unit of a centralised AC system.

Now, if the tube is too long, it becomes difficult for the AC unit to complete the entire cooling cycle. As a result, the compressor will run continuously, causing the power bills to shoot up and unnecessary wear and tear of the unit.

Not acquiring the appropriate permits

The best and the reputed companies will invariably file permits on behalf of their clients, and they have it done at the office of the local building coding authorities. However, there are some that do not. Do not get into this.

Make sure that you check up whether the permits have been done. Do not commit the mistake of assuming things without verifying. It may land you in trouble and harassment.

So that's it. Make sure you do not fall prey to these mistakes, to make sure the installation is flawless and foolproof.
